I know this is really unusual for a sports forum but we seem to have some artists on board. So this thread is for them to show their stuff.

I'll put some music on here later. The stuff I've posted so far really wasn't ready for prime time so the next batch should be better.

If your picture (or whatever) doesn't want to post, click on the Contact Us button on the bottom of each page and send it to us as an attachment. We'll make it work.

The easiest way to post pictures, etc is start a new post and choose the Upload a File button next to the Post Reply button that you'd use to post a comment. Otherwise, upload the file to a file sharing site like Photobucket, Instagram, etc, and follow these instructions http://picksup.org/index.php?threads/how-to-embed-media-pictures-video-etc.79/#post-801.

    Rock on!!

This is from our friend, Rex (miner1liner), who we recently persuaded to come in off the ledge. I hope this is good therapy for you 1liner. We need you around for next season, buddy!
The first one is from an actual program, if I remember correctly. Rex can give us details.

O'Hulk is in charge of forum dynamics and I respect his opinion. If it gets activity it'll show up in the active threads section. If you think a Water Cooler thread should get more ink, go make a comment and bump it.

Besides, you never make O'Hulk angry. You won't like him him when he's angry. He goes from Orange to volcano red.:mad::cool: (JK)

BTW, great work, Rex. Can you fill us in on your resume?

That painting of the ladies booties reminds me of something EJP would paint. But, his might be a little more...detailed?

True that. And every imagination is different.

    The 1964 program cover came about because a friend who had the advertising account gave me the opportunity to do it knowing of my avid support of Haskins. What's interesting is that credit for the artwork went to him; not me. Very disappointing then and now. I quess he just forgot to mention it to anyone . My copy of the program is like new. On the back cover there's a photo of David Latin;
new Miner freshman. 36 pages of stories and photos and stats. Barnes was high scorer in each game. 29.2 ppg and 19.2 rpg. There is also a page dedicated to "Mullensisms",
who in case you don't know was the SID. Quotes such as,
"Hollering like Tarzan with his loincloth on fire". All I can say is, "those were the days" and I'm happy to have the memories.

That's very cool. I'd love to see some pictures of that program, front and back. That's an interesting tidbit for your resume!

These just came in from miner1liner (Rex). I'll bet a stack of nickels that EJP will make a comment about all the ass in this post.

Buffalo head! you're on! Lol :p I was around a lot of "ass" when I was little down on our ranch in Mexico during summer vacation! We were at the foothills of the Copper Canyon. we would go for rides up the mountains on horseback, but donkeys and or mules were better for more rigorous terrain. I never pretended to be "the Man from Snowy River!":D

Right on the money, Rick. We had a discussion about what got them started. I lived in northeast when a fire burned that area. The next year there were poppies. Rex thinks the seeds were air dropped and we differ on the timing of the colorful outbreak. Anybody got any other stories or rumors?

I worked with a classical pianist, Romain Wheeler, who lives with the Tarahumara Indians inside Copper Canyon. He plays concerts all over the world and brings all the money back to help them better their lives.

How awesome, what an experience that must have been for you. Did you ever visit the Canyon with him. Quite breathtaking. They say you could drop the Grand Canyon inside of it easily. Mayor Susie Azar used to sow seeds from the air when she was in office and after that.;)
